Excitement builds as the Hong Kong Mission Team of Concordia University Nebraska anticipates our mission trip to Hong Kong.My father took this picture while he was on one of his runs in Hong Kong. It shows the unique blend of the tropical plants with the urban staircase.
We've been taking the necessary steps to prepare. We've been completing the training sessions supported by the DVD and Short Team Training Manual given to us by LCMS World Mission. We've been completing fundraisers like a raffle for a homemade meal, and have ordered t-shirts for the upcoming 5K on April 28th.
A Skype session with Judy Newhouse, the Short Team Mission Coordinator in Hong Kong, has helped it sink in that we will be in Hong Kong in less than a month. We look forward to being there - if not to the plane ride that will get us there - and to having the opportunity to share our faith with the students in the Lutheran schools founded by LCMS World Mission.
